Had a wonderful weekend with my husband. He had to work to Saturday morning but as soon as he got home he showered and off we went. We had to take my daughter to my parents first. We dropped her off and headed to Shipshewana Indiana. Arrived in Shipshewana 2 hours later and checked into a cute little hotel that was built by 16 Amish families. We put our stuff in the room and headed into town to check out some shops. First stop was Davis Mercantile where I had to stop at Lolly's Fabric store to look at some quilt fabric. I picked up a Moda Java charm pack....
Going to turn this into a lap quilt.

After Lolly's we headed out to the General Store where I picked up a cute purse for $9.00

I love the little General Store. It has so many cute things. And great prices! From there we went to a place called Past Times Country Shop where they sold primitives and old fashioned candy. I didn't count points these 2 days so I bought some candy that I didn't eat hardly any of it. After here we went to The Blue Gate Theater for dinner. We had fried chicken for dinner. As an appetizer we had these loaded potato chips that the husband ate most of them.
After this dinner it was back to the hotel room. But first we stopped at the Bakery that is inside the Theater for a couple cookies.

And pies for dessert, that we split. I didn't have any of the one pie as I told the husband to take it to work yesterday.

Sunday morning following Amish tradition all shops are closed. We drove around Indiana a little bit. Went to Elkhart, Dunlap, Bristol, Angola and back through Shipshewana to head home. Stopped at Ruby Tuesday for a late lunch as we didn't eat breakfast that morning.

I had an Avacoda Turkey burger w/bacon and a side of french fries. Also shared some baked mac n cheese. I have to say I could eat one of those burgers again but do without the sides. I think I'll try making my own at home.

So here I am. Tuesday morning. Attempting to get my rear back on track. I've failed to do it since the last time I wrote. I just need motivation. Determination. Willpower. I'm tired of fast food and take out. I know there is no excuse for what I eat when we do go out. I could choose a salad. Or something healthies. A lot of places have low fat, low carb or under 500 plates. I just always choose the wrong thing. My husband says come warmer weather you'll do better. Uh...no I won't. Thats the hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, macaroni salad..all the things I'm dreading. I'll have to try to find healthier versions to make and not buy these products in the store. I can do this. I will do this. I have to do this. For me.
